Founded by Melody Xie, Melody Institute is dedicated to sharing the beauty of Chinese culture, dance, and language throughout the Pacific Northwest. For more than three decades, Melody Xie has trained dancers of all ages and choreographed over one hundred original works spanning traditional, folk, ethnic, and contemporary Chinese dance. The Melody Dance Group has been a featured performer at the Northwest Folklife Festival since 1995 and has appeared on major stages including the Moore Theatre, Benaroya Hall, and the Edmonds Center for the Arts. A respected cultural leader in Seattle and recipient of the Gordon Ekvall Tracie Award, Melody Xie continues to connect cultures and inspire audiences across generations.
