How To Fest (FAQs)

New to the festival or need a refresher?
This page has everything you need to know to navigate the Seattle Asian American Film Festival—whether you're attending in person or joining virtually. Check out the FAQs below for tips on tickets, venues, accessibility, virtual screenings, and more.

  • Masking Policy

    • Attendees ages 2+ must wear masks covering both nose and mouth.

    • Disposable masks are available at the door.

    • Please only lower masks when eating or drinking. Outside food is not permitted at the venues.

    Stay Home If Sick

    • If you're feeling unwell—even with mild symptoms—please stay home.

    • If you already purchased a ticket, let us know which show you were planning to attend; SAAFF can provide online access to the film program if possible.

    • If you test positive for COVID after attending, contact SAAFF immediately at info@seattleaaff.org for contact tracing.

  • Everyone needs a ticket to attend a film screening.
    Whether you're a passholder or buying a single ticket, you must have a ticket in hand to enter the screening venue.

    General Admission

    • Ticket prices are $15

    • Online ticket sales close 2 hours before each screening.

    • Plan to arrive 15–30 minutes early; seating is not guaranteed without a ticket.

    • Any unfilled seats will be released to the rush line 5 minutes before showtime.

    Passholders

    • Pick up your badge at Wing Luke Museum, from the SAAFF Box Office Team.

    • Box Office opens 30 minutes before the first screening of the day.

    • Passholders must redeem tickets in advance (online or at the box office).

    • If a screening is sold out, passholders must also wait in the rush line.

  • Wing Luke Museum @ 719 S. King Street Seattle, WA 98104

    Getting There: The Wing Luke Museum is located in the heart of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. The entrance to the museum faces South King Street on the corner of South King Street and 8th Avenue. There are 30-minute loading zones on King Street and 8th Street.

    • Public Transit: Served by multiple bus routes and a short walk from the International District/Chinatown light rail station.

    • Parking: The museum does not have on-site parking. Paid street parking and nearby lots are available. Please allow extra time, as neighborhood parking can be limited on weekends and during events.

    Accessibility: Grateful for The Wing Luke Museum’s commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for all visitors.

    • The main areas of the museum (including galleries, restrooms, and event spaces) are wheelchair accessible.

    • Elevator access is available between floors.

    • Social distancing and masks are encouraged.

  • Broadway Performance Hall @ 1625 Broadway Avenue Seattle, WA 98122

    Getting There: Situated in the heart of Capitol Hill on the Seattle Central College campus

    • Public Transit:Just two blocks south of the Capitol Hill Link Light Rail station and served by multiple King County Metro bus routes. 

      • By bus: Metro buses 11, 49 and 60 all pass next to, or within a block of, both the Broadway Performance Hall and Erickson Theatre. Visit King County Metro Trip Planner to learn more about these and other nearby bus options.

      • By streetcar: Take the Broadway route to the stop at Broadway & Denny.

      • By light rail: The Capitol Hill Link station is located approximately one block north of the Broadway Performance Hall, and two blocks north of Erickson Theatre.

    • Parking:Seattle Central College operates a 500-space parking garage at 1609 Harvard Avenue, directly behind the venue. While weekday daytime parking is primarily for college use, the garage is typically open to the public most afternoons and evenings for a fee, and all day on weekends. Street parking is also available in the surrounding area.

    Accessibility: Grateful for Broadway Performance Hall’s commitment to providing an inclusive experience for all guests:

    Wheelchair Access: The venue is ADA compliant, featuring an elevator and eight wheelchair-accessible seats within its  auditorium.

    • Vote for films via QR codes at in-person venues.
