The Final Match Watch Party Was a Perfect Sunday

Sunday was a great one. We had a full house at the Upstairs Gallery at Theatre Off Jackson for the Final Match Watch Party, and it was a blast from start to finish: World Cup soccer on the big screen, raffle prizes, live performances, and a screening of Bend It Like Beckham.

Viper Fengz kept things moving as emcee, and once the Final kicked off at noon the whole room was into it. Lots of cheering, everyone locked in together. At the break we gave away raffle prizes from local businesses and caught performances from Salon of Shame and Joy Market. Then the lights dropped for Bend It Like Beckham, which could not have been a better pick after a live match.
